Reports
DairyBase produces a series of reports for the farm business. The cover page describes the background farm information for the year. This information is gathered from the farm business owner in the Level 1 Questionnaire. The cash flow, financial detail and KPI pages are produced from the accounts as entered by an accountant, or other accredited rural professional.
The physical detail report contains more detailed physical information such as reproductive performance, fertiliser applied and pasture eaten. This section is entered by a consultant from the Level 2 Questionnaire as completed by the farmer.
It is possible to enter either financial or physical detail but for a full performance analysis it is recommended that both are used.
Once your data has been entered by your accountant/consultant your reports will be available to print from your own DairyBase login. When enough farms have been entered then benchmarks will become available. As more data is entered more benchmark selections become available.
The DairyBase Report Description Handbook
This handbook guides you through the five main reports: Physical Data Summary; Key Performance Indicators; Cash Flow and Profitability; Financial Detail and Physical Detail Data Descriptions. It explains in narrative and formula how each item is sourced or derived.
This is a great tool for understanding where the "numbers” have come from.
