Farm Averages
Derived from the average of at least 20 qualifying farms by type, location, or other criteria for the current season.
Twenty is the minimum number required before a benchmark of this type is published. As this is difficult to achieve early on in the new season, DairyBase have moved to provide Individual Farm, Model and Estimate benchmarks that can be published at the start of the season.
The Farm Average benchmark will display in brackets the number of farms used to generate the average e.g. ‘Farm Average(30)’.
