Modelled Benchmarks
The modelled benchmarks are an estimate of an average regional farm based on the latest DairyNZ Economic Farm Survey and MAF farm data. The Economic Farm Survey contains 8 average regional farm models. These are based on DairyBase financial data while the physical size and production data are scaled to the New Zealand Dairy Statistics figures.
Historical and current information is combined to produce a more robust estimate. As sufficient DairyBase farm financials are processed through DairyBase, modelled benchmarks will be replaced with DairyBase benchmarks.
